About Us

In 2007, Wendy and Ed Detwiler started building a vision at their home in Feura Bush, NY.  They hoped to serve disadvantaged children and show them the love of Jesus Christ through the unwavering affection of a horse. Eagle Ridge Youth Ranch was started and they obtained their 501(c)(3) status in 2008. Due to many trials and tribulations they recognized the need to step away from the ministry.  They handed the reins over to their daughter and son-in-law, Alexandria (Lexie) and Shane Sniffen in February 2020. Lexie grew up helping her parents with the ranch and has a vision similar to her parents’vision for the ministry.

Isaiah 40:30-31 “ Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord shall renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” 

Lexie has worked with and ridden horses since the age of three. She has trained horses since 2009 and has taught riding lessons to various ages.
