This sweet girl is probably our most well known horse around the farm. She is patient, kind and extremely forgiving making her a perfect teacher for everyone who visits the ranch. She is Quarter Horse and has been with us since 2017.

We pulled this sweet old girl in Jan 2023 from a kill pen in Ohio. This means if someone did not step up to bail her, she would have been shipped to slaughter. She came skinny and scared as people had not been kind to her before us. She has slowly been gaining weight and is a farm favorite among our therapy kids. She has a sweet and gentle nature making her perfect for those who just want to stand and brush her all day. We love her to pieces and hope for many more years with her.

Fall of '24 we found ourselves down to 2 horses after we made the move to South Westerlo. We were in need of another horse for our program as our main two horses are only getting older. Carly had been rescued from neglect from the Amish. The lady we bought her from did the hard work of fattening her up and helping her establish her initial training. She is younger and does need some more miles but absolutely loves people. She's all in for hugs and kisses. We are excited to see her future here with us!

The news of a nice Halflinger mid teens mare crossed our path by our vet. We weren't necessarily in need of another horse at that time as we had just purchased Carly but she sounded like a sweet horse needing some training. She is also a total lovebug and enjoys all of the attention. She is besties with Carly and will take some time to add riding miles on to.

He came to us in the spring of '23 to see if we could help him past some of his behavioral issues. Due to those issues we believe that is how he ended up at a local auction and therefore no one wanted him. We are working hard at trying to figure him out with much guidance from our body worker and vet. He will be leaving for full time training in the spring of '24.

Some of the projects we are needing sponsorships for in '24 are:

  • Tack Shed(10'x12') - So we can have one organized area for all of our necessary tack and equipment for our horses and riders.
  • Arena Sand upgrade - It has been many years since we have brought in sand and to help our horses feet and joints we are in need of some more.
  • Mud Renovations - This last year and all of the rain we received turned several of our fields in to mostly mud. We will need to do some mud removal, bring in stone, invest in mud grids and have it all installed properly so we can do our best to get the horses out of the mud and keep them healthy.
  • Covered Sitting Area - this would greatly benefit our therapy kids and sessions to be able to have a place out of the sun.
  • 2-3 Stall Shedrow Barn - We are in need of a safe, dry place for our horses to come in out of the weather and mud if the need were to arise. Our horses are very happy in their run in sheds but having stalls in the event of an emergency is needed.
