“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31
We currently are teamed up with Youth for Christ, Albany City Life. We serve the youth within that group spring-fall.
The sessions are set up on a month to month basis. Each youth that is accepted into the program will have 4 weeks of free of charge sessions. The sessions run from one hour, to an hour and 15 minutes in length. Parents/Guardians are required to stay on the premises during sessions.
Mission: To foster hope through emotional, physical and spiritual healing through horses and undivided attention from a staff member.
Purpose: To provide a safe, structured equine environment for youth to learn positive character traits and the responsibilities necessary to become healthy, wholesome adults.
Vision: To allow disadvantaged youth the opportunity to work with horses and to learn about the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Our desire is for the children to grow in many areas. The work and discipline required to care for the horses will bring a sense of purpose and accomplishment to the youth. Each child will be paired with a horse and staff member; this ratio is for the benefit of allowing individual time and attention for each child.
Sessions will include but not be limited to:
We hold sessions rain or shine – indoor activities will be planned as a backup due to inclement weather.
